STANDA VECERA
Standa Vecera is a Czech actor and an MVP athlete currently studying and performing theatre in Singapore. A charismatic, versatile talent, Standa has played the lead in several short films and stage productions in the U.S., Japan and Singapore.
His roles have ranged from the charismatic knight-errant, Hans, in the stage production of “Ondine,” to the volative, passive-aggressive, abusive boyfriend in the dramatic short, “Hit and Box,” to the love-sick teenager in the short film romance, “This Is Not A Love Story” to the callous killer in the dramatic short, “Dead Men Have No Honor,” among others. His most recent artistic venture was as the lead in the live stage production of “A Monster Calls” at the Reagan Theater in Singapore, which was enthusiastically received, playing successfully to nightly standing ovations.

Although passionate about drama, Standa recently carved a new path for himself on the global stage where he’s been displaying his improv and comedic talent as a TikTok sensation. Two hilarious videos that he created and starred in have garnered over 9 and 13 million views respectively and have been reposted on Instagram by multiple accounts, accumulating hundreds of thousands of views on that platform. Other skits that demonstrate his comedic prowess have also generated hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok as well as on various other social media apps.

Standa's passion for acting began in 2018, when he made his debut performance as the lead in the esteemed Moliere play, "The Schemes of Scapin," produced by The National Theatre of Young Artists in Japan. Since then, he has continued to meticulously hone his craft through study and performance as the lead in numerous stage productions. With a keen interest in expanding his creative horizons, Standa has studied film and television acting at the New York Film Academy, both in person and online, and continues to employ the techniques of Stanislavski and Uta Hagen in all aspects of his art. He recently attended the Boston University 2024 Summer Theater Institute, where he continued to hone in on his craft through monologue work, scene work, singing, voice craft, and much more.

A world traveler, Standa has been to over 40 countries on five continents and speaks fluent English and conversant Spanish in addition to his native Czech. He is also adept at several American and European accents and dialects, including Scottish and Scouse -- all of which are part of the arsenal of skills from which he is able to draw as an actor.
Standa’s athletic abilities also enhance what he brings to the table. He excels at most team sports and has won the MVP in Asia League Soccer and Volleyball. He has also won numerous swimming, tennis and racing tournaments and has been featured on DaZN, Bein Sports, SkySports and also the T100 Official Account, DaZN (Spanish Sports
TV), Bein Sports (Arabian TV), SkySports (British Sports TV), and T100 Official Interview (Duathlon). A licensed rescue scuba diver, professional go-kart driver and
competitive skier he relishes every opportunity to challenge himself on every level.

The consummate actor’s actor, Standa patterns his approach to acting on some of the thinking of highly respected actor, Bryan Cranston. He admires Cranston’s
extraordinary dedication to the art and subscribes to his philosophy, “If you have a level of expectation in your life that you have to be a quote-unquote star, whatever that
means, you might be setting yourself up for failure.” Other Cranston Quotes that resonate with Standa include: “I don't even think about the money when I consider roles...money will come...I respect it but I don't thirst for it...really the most valued commodity is time”...And time is something Standa wisely invests in his craft.
